The newest 2022 Toyota Highlander is the most spacious crossover in the Toyota`s lineup. This 3-row midsize SUV, besides a roomy cabin, also offers a beautiful exterior styling.

For 2022, Toyota makes some radical changes and revised Highlander’s front fascia, making it more eye-catching. Basically, refreshments include a more stylish grille, better-shaped LED headlights, and the taillights graphic update. However, like before, the Highlander will surely use the same 3.5-liter V6 making 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. Hybrid version is available as well.

First of all, the latest SUV has a sleeker body and is a couple of inches bigger than its predecessor, especially in length and wheelbase.

Like before, the trims like L, LE, and XLE models will be offered with a stylish 18-inch wheels, while 20-inch wheels are standard on Limited and Platinum models. However, on the rear, the latest generation Highlander comes with the same athletic aesthetic, featuring strong bumper and LED taillights.

One of the best family haulers, the 2022 Toyota Highlander, will introduce much more updates this year. However, it still keeps the same form, offering 3-row of seats and room for seven occupants. Perhaps the most noticeable change inside is the revised dashboard. The manufacturer added more soft touches and plenty of new technology. The Highlander XLE trims feature heated and power-adjustable front seats (10-way for the driver, 4-way for the passenger), powered moonroof, simulated leather upholstery, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and 2nd-row sunshades. However, buyers can expect genuine leather with wood trim, heated/ventilated front seats, navigation, and a premium JBL audio system going for the Limited trim.

The range-topping model is the Highlander Platinum. This trim is literary-filled with techs and premium materials. It comes with a bigger 12.3-inch touchscreen, 360-degree camera system, head-up display, heated 2nd-row seats, panoramic sunroof, and a digital rearview camera.

Under the hood, the forthcoming 2022 Toyota Highlander uses a very potent engine. This model is still powered by a 3.5-liter V6 making 295 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque. The 8-speed automatic transmission is standard as the front wheels (FWD).

However, like many other SUVs in the class, the Highlander is also offered with all-wheel drive (AWD) optionally. Moreover, thanks primarily to a strong engine, the new SUV can tow up to 5000 pounds, which is decent for this class. The hybrid model should be available as well, but until now, Toyota didn’t reveal any figures. The current hybrid variant uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and two electric motors making 219 horsepower.

How Much Will Cost the New 2022 Toyota Highlander?

The fresh new 2022 Toyota Highlander will debut sometime this year. Moreover, many believe that it will hit markets at the end of this year. Like before, the Highlander continues a tradition of competing with rivals like the Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer, and Hyundai Palisade. It starts at little less than $36,000 for the regular model, while a fully loaded version can reach almost $50k.
