The new 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale will come into the fray of subcompact luxury crossovers toward the end of the year. We have some official photos, and the upcoming SUV will feature sexy bodywork that’s accentuated by the latest Alfa Romeo’s signature sharp-nosed face.

The exterior design of the 2023 Alfa Rome Tonale is sleek and sporty. Stretching 178.3 inches in overall length, the Tonale is about 3 inches longer than the BMW X1 and about 3 inches shorter than the Cadillac XT4.

Moreover, the new SUV uses Alfa’s shield-shaped grille, which is flanked by a “3+3” LED headlights. On top of that, the same design theme is mirrored at the rear of this SUV on the taillights. Unlike the base engine, the PHEV uses a six-speed automatic and a 15.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The manufacturer said that with full battery, the Tonale can cover over 30-mile range.

As far as we know, the new 2023 Alfa Tonale will be available in three trim levels. The base model Sprint starts at $38,000, while Ti is $43,000, and the most expensive Veloce costs $48,000.

All mentioned models should arrive toward the end of the year, competing with the BMW X1, the Mercedes-Benz GLA, and the Volvo XC40.
