The upcoming 2023 Audi Q6 has finally been spied testing on the public roads of Germany during a rainy day. The disguise does an excellent job hiding the SUV’s exterior styling. As far as we know, the manufacturer will make the next-generation Q6 more stylish thanks to many upgrades. First of all, the upcoming SUV will ride on a premium Platform Electric (PPE) that’s primarily made for the Q6 E-Tron model, which is mechanically related to the Porsche Macan EV.

The zero-emissions SUV will be reportedly built in Ingolstadt, and it appears to be carrying the entire production body. Audi promises that the Q6 will have quick-charging capabilities at up to 350 kW. In general, we expect it to deliver more than 300 miles on a single charge.

As mentioned, the 2023 Audi Q6 will ride on the new premium Platform Electric (PPE) made from Porsche. The same platform is used on the latest Macan EV SUV. In terms of styling, the caught model is disguised, and Audi did an excellent job of hiding its exterior styling.

From what we noticed, the shape of the Q6 will remain the as on the production-ready Q6 E-Tron. We were honestly hoping to see more touches on the final variant. Judging from the latest spy photos, the vehicle’s appearance is more aggressive a little bit, and we noticed that it rides on new black wheels. As a matter of fact, Audi has already said that we can expect more new packages that will change the look of the Q6 drastically.

Cabin Changes

You can go wrong with Audi. This manufacturer is one of a few that makes really premium cabins. Overall, we expect the new 2023 Audi Q6 to share many cues with the new A6 model. The latest sedan comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen (replacing an 8.8-inch unit). It also includes the latest version of the Virtual Cockpit 12.3-inch digital driver information display. The infotainment system also comes standard with navigation and with Wi-Fi, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration (with wireless CarPlay), and four USB ports.

In the safety department, this SUV dominates with many features. It comes with automatic high beams, forward-collision mitigation, front/rear parking sensors, and lane-departure warning.

The news is more focused on the e-Tron variant than the regular version. As far as we know, the manufacturer will make the zero-emissions SUV model more competitive thanks to powerful electric motors and batteries. Audi promises that the new generation Q6 will get four-wheel drive as standard and torque vectoring. It will also have quick-charging capabilities at up to 350 kW. According to many gossips, we can expect at least to deliver around 300 miles on a single charge.

Release Date and Price

The new 2023 Audi Q6 will likely hit stores sometime next year, featuring more futuristic styling than before. It will ride on the completely new PPE platform, which is more sophisticated than MEB.

The platform supports the implementation of an air suspension for a smoother ride. It also can hold a large capacity of batteries, providing more than 300 miles between charging cycles. In general, we’re expecting a similar range from the upcoming A6 E-Tron Sportback. Price is unfortunately still kept secretly, but many presume that it will be no less than $70,000.
