2023 Audi Q9 Finally Spied Testing

The new 2023 Audi Q9 has been spied testing recently, and we just got some of the spy shots. At first glance, the all-new flagship SUV looks more aggressive than its sibling Q8 model. The camouflaged vehicle is an early tester, and who knows what will de changes and be added to the final product.

As far as we know, the first full-size SUV from the brand with the four rings will ride on the popular MQB platform that’s also available on several Audis, including the Q7 and Q8 models. The Audi Q9 will arrive sometime in 2022, and it will compete with variants of the BMW X7 and the Range Rover.

The 2023 Audi Q9 spy shots are available, and it looks more attractive than any Audi SUV so far. Though some of the design details are well masked on the camouflaged prototypes, you can notice the Audi Q9’s enormous size.

Unlike the Q7 and Q8, the new Q9 comes with a more huge grille, along with boxy LED taillights at the back. On the other hand, the manufacturer added stylish alloy wheels that look pretty small. However, you can bet there’ll be much bigger options available once the car goes on sale. In general, we expect this SUV to come with wheels at least 23-inch in size, just we saw on the RSQ8.

Cabin Upgrades

Images of the 2023 Audi Q9 interior have yet to surface, and we can expect high-quality materials and all sorts of screens. The new Audi’s flagship SUV will probably offer excellent comfort and much more supportive seats than its sibling Q8. As mentioned, it will ride on the MQB platform that will allow three rows of seats inside and enough room to place seven passengers.

There will probably be a massive infotainment system in the center of the dashboard and a big virtual cockpit like on the Audi Q8. We also expect as standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Under the hood, the forthcoming 2023 Audi Q9 will come with a 3.0-liter petrol or diesel V6 engines as a basics setup. However, the high-spec cars will also be available, including SQ9 or RS Q9 versions. Both models could get a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine producing more than 400 horses.

A plug-in hybrid version is reportedly also in the works, and we can expect Q9 to use the same engine as the Porsche Cayenne hybrid.

Will Audi make a Q9?

According to the new spy shots, it will. The new 2023 Audi Q9 will likely arrive sometime next year, while it could be revealed towards the end of this year or early 2022. The caught prototype looks fresh and more aggressive than its sibling Q8.
