The new 2023 BMW X6 has been spotted testing for the first time with mild upgrades. The spied prototype is wearing heavy camo but we noticed the revised front and rear fasciae. From what we know, the cabin of the upcoming SUV will also get some updates, including better quality materials and possibly a more advanced infotainment system, similar to what we saw in the iX electric crossover.

Just like before, the X6 will be offered with a choice of a few engines. There is a turbocharged, 335 horsepower 6-cylinder engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. Also, if you need more power, BMW offers the X6 M, which can produce an astounding 617 hp when optioned with the Competition package.

2023 BMW X6 Facelift

The spied 2023 BMW X6, unfortunately only shows mid-cycle upgrades. Judging by the first available images, the forthcoming SUV will come with revised front and rear fascias. First of all, we noticed a wider grille and the new lighting system. Headlights seem thinner than before, and there is a sportier hood.

On the side profile, the X6 looks the same as before, the only difference is a new set of wheels. The rear fascia is refreshed as well, and we like updated taillights with new graphics.

Interior Changes

Considering that we only have a couple of spy images of the 2023 BMW X6 exterior, we don’t know what the interior will look like. According to many reports, it seems that BMW will make some changes and upgrades inside as well.

From what we know, they will add more quality materials, and probably the same advanced infotainment system with a larger screen we see in the iX electric crossover. This means we can expect the same 12.3-inch driver information display, which is incorporated into a larger curved unit accommodating a 14.9-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Is There a New BMW X6 Coming Out?

Production of the 2023 BMW X6 has been started in the plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. So, we expect the new SUV to debut sometime this year, likely in the fall. The current model is priced from $68,345, including a $995 destination charge, and honestly, we don’t expect much of a change in price with the updated model.

The more powerful X6 M50i starts at $86,250, while the X6 M with the Competition package can touch the price of $120,000. In the same class is the Porsche Cayenne Coupe which cost $77,850, while the Turbo s E-Hybrid is around $170,000.
