After the latest spy shots of the upcoming flagship 2023 BMW X8, some renderings appear on the web. At first glance, the new SUV looks more aggressive, and it provides a more controversial design than the IX model.

Rumors of an X8 initially emerged four years ago, and about a month ago, BMW chairman Oliver Zipse indirectly confirmed the new flagship SUV’s arrival. According to its statement, the new model will be unveiled at the end of the year, and it should be built at the Spartanburg plant. In the same plant, BMW made the X3, X6, and X7 models.

2023 BMW X8 Exterior

After a few spy photos of the upcoming 2023 BMW X8, we finally got some of the renderings. The new flagship SUV looks more aggressive than any BMW model in the lineup. It features an eye-catchy front end with split headlights and a massive kidney grille, which becomes a recognized signature from this manufacturer.

This SUV looks no less attractive with new stacked exhaust tips and the more comprehensive bumper on the back. Taillights are also unique and thinner than we thought. BMX XM will be reportedly also available, and it should be even more aggressive with its polarizing appearance.

Luxurious Interior

On the inside, the 2023 BMW X8 will look more luxurious than any BMW model so far. Reportedly, it will be more spacious than the X7 model, and it should offer much more supportive seats. On top of that, the manufacturer will demonstrate its power through some of the advanced technology. In general, the X8 will be techier than any model in class. So, we expect to see much larger infotainment than in X7 and more standard equipment.

Features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, navigation, wireless charging, SiriusXM, and HD Radio, should come as standard. Also, we presume an excellent suite of standard safety tech features like forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and so on.

2023 BMW X8 Engine Specs

As far as we know, the 2023 X8 / XM will be BMW’s most powerful SUVs in history. Unofficially, the manufacturer will probably combine the V8 with an electric motor for a total output expected to exceed the 700-hp mark. Actually, we think that these are figures for the hotter Competition version.

However, there is still some missing information, and we don’t know if this model will be an xDrive-only. Overall, it’s difficult to predict what the Bavarians are planning to put under the hood of this SUV, but we expect some severe powerful machines that will stand out from the rest of the models in the class.

Release Date and Price

The new 2023 BMW X8 is the upcoming flagship SUV that will be positioned above the X7. Right now, there is a little information about the X8. Moreover, Oliver Zipse confirms a new high-end SUV on CNBC, and we presume that BMW X8 will be revealed fully at the end of the year.

So, expect the X8 to go on sale next year in the US, and it will probably carry a six-figure starting price since the M50i X7 is already almost 100k. As we said, the new BMW X8 will be built alongside X3, X6, and X7 models at the same Spartanburg plant.
