Cadillac has recently revealed the first images of its upcoming performance SUV. The new model that should be called 2023 Cadillac Escalade V looks extremely elegant, featuring recognized design language. Compared to the original Cadillac Escalade, the V model gets a revised front bumper, quad-tip exhaust, lots of black trims, and a faux-rear diffuser.
On top of that, the interior is much more modern thanks to use of quality materials and advanced technologies. As far as we know, the power is expected to come from a detuned version of the supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V-8. Interestingly, the same engine powers the CT5-V Blackwing sedan.
2023 Cadillac Escalade V Design
The design of the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V looks way more aggressive than the traditional model. In general, it has its own distinct visual touches, though. Unlike the original variant, the Cadillac V comes with a unique front-end design that includes a new mesh grille and a revised lower bumper.
As we noticed, the manufacturer also added new daytime running lights with sportier-looking housings. At the rear, it’s impossible to miss the sporty exhaust tips that are sticking out.
Cabin features
At this moment, the manufacturer didn’t reveal any information regarding the cabin of the forthcoming 2023 Cadillac Escalade V model. From information that we got, the cabin will be similar to the original one, but Cadillac will most likely add more quality and technology.
Overall, we can expect it to come with more supportive seats, featuring the same three rows. If you didn’t know, the Cadillac Escalade is a big SUV, offering seats for eight passengers. The current Cadillac Escalade features a standard 38-inch OLED display, which is truly stunning, and it’s more user-friendly than the model before. We also expect Escalade V to use an identical screen and probably standard wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
2023 Cadillac Escalade V Powertrain Specs
According to Cadillac, the new model will use one of the modest engines. It will be available with a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V-8 that also powers the CT5-V Blackwing sedan.
However, under the hood of this sedan, the engine produces 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. So, it will be likely detuned under the hood of the Escalade V model. Overall, you can count on more than the 420 horses that the original model made. Cadillac also reveals a redline around 6200 rpm, which is lowered by 300 rpm than in the CT5-V Blackwing.
2023 Cadillac Escalade V Price, Release Date
Unfortunately, Cadillac didn’t yet reveal the price and release date information for the 2023 Escalade V model. However, considering that Cadillac gives this model a high-performance treatment, the Escalade V will probably cost more than the highest trim of the current Escalade model.
That means buyers can expect the price to be identical as on the Escalade Premium Luxury Platinum trims, that starts at around $101,595. As for the release date, it’s likely that the new Escalade V will debut later this year, while sales could start soon after.
