The forthcoming 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor was recently spied testing, wearing skin-tight camouflage across the hood, tailgate, and along its sides. Thanks to that, we have an excellent look at the upgraded design over the regular model. The most visual difference between the Bronco Raptor and non-Raptor Bronco will be the presence of wider front and rear wheel arches.
The Raptor model will also look more like an off-roader thanks to larger 37-inch tires. From available information, under the hood, this model will ditch the current 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 instead of Ford’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost. Read below to find out more information about this amazing SUV.
2023 Ford Bronco Raptor Exterior
The exterior of the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor will be a little different compared to the standard non-Raptor model. First of all, the Raptor variant is made to tackle all terrains thanks to its off-road equipment. This model ditches wider front and rear wheel arches.
Also, as we can see from the first spy shots, the Raptor model also comes with the same front fascia, including the same black grille and LED rounded headlights. The skid plate is standard as the large 37-inch tires. We do expect the Bronco Raptor to be offered like the standard one with either a soft-top or hardtop. Removable body panels, and specifically frameless doors, will be easier to remove, thanks to Ford’s new system.
At this point, there is no available spy image inside the 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor. From what we heard, the upcoming SUV will not significantly differ from the standard one. So, we can expect the same dose of luxury with even more premium feel. This model should also offer the same seating layout, allowing Raptor to place five passengers.
Many believe the off-road variant will introduce some novelists in terms of technology. However, we expect to see the same 12-inch infotainment touchscreen, 360-degree camera system, front parking sensors, and plenty of additional amenities as well.
2023 Ford Bronco Raptor Powertrain
The 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor will be available with a very potent engine. Unlike the regular model that uses Ford’s 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost, the Raptor will ditch the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 as standard. If you didn’t know, the same engine is powering the Ford F-150 Raptor, and we expect Raptor to produce the same amount of output.
The current F-150 Raptor with the same engine produces 450 hp and 510 lb.-ft (691 Nm) of torque. However, at this point, we don’t have information on what transmission will be used on the SUV model.
Release Date, Price
The 2023 Ford Bronco Raptor will arrive sometime next year, featuring more off-road styling compared to the regular model. As far as we can see from the first spy shots, the Ford Bronco Raptor will look more attractive, and we can expect the same to happen inside as well.
Despite its enhanced off-road abilities, the Bronco Raptor will share the same dimensions with the regular Bronco. According to some early reports, the Bronco Raptor will be no less than $60,000, which doubles the price of the regular variant that cost $30k.
