The redesigned 2023 Hyundai Tucson will reportedly arrive next year with a bolder look and tons of other updates. If you didn’t know, the current model is introduced this year with a complete new front fascia compared to the predecessor. However, considering all that, we expect the upcoming SUV to be a carryover model.

The current Hyundai Tucson is recognized thanks to a new bold grille flanked by thin headlights. It also has a stylish backside with an LED light bar and slash-like taillights. In general, we expect the 2023 Tucson to be nearly identical, with some changes on the front fascia, including not such eye-catching headlights. Inside, this SUV will probably offer the same bold design and wide-screen 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Under its hood, the Tucson comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as standard, but it’s also available as a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid.

2023 Hyundai Tucson Facelift

As far as we know, the 2023 Hyundai Tucson will be more attractive, especially on the front end. Many believe that it will receive the same treatment as the recently introduced Kia Sportage. The current Hyundai Tucson is redesigned completely, and it includes a bold grille flanked by thin headlights.

It also has a distinct body lines and creases, flared wheel arches, and slash-like taillights. As many fans complain about the front fascia and eye-catching headlights, the new model will probably gain the similar shape on the front like the amazing Kia Sportage.

More Comfort Inside

Inside, the 2023 Hyundai Tucson continues with the same modern design, offering enough comfort for five passengers. Of course, the manufacturer will make some upgrades inside to keep this model fresh. The current model includes a wide-screen 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, full-width HVAC vent, digital instrument cluster, a 64-color mood-lighting system, and more. All above will probably be transferred to the new one.

As for the safety, the Tucson is one of a few SUVs that is really well-equipped. This model as standard includes automatic forward emergency braking, active lane control, and rear occupant alerts. Optionally, you can get a safety gear like blind-spot monitors, adaptive cruise control, surround-view camera system, rear automatic braking, front and rear parking sensors, and blind-spot cameras.

2023 Hyundai Tucson Engine Specs

We expect the engine department to remain the same as in the outgoing model. The Tucson comes standard with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 187 hp and 178 pound-feet of torque. This unit sends power through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels as standard.

The hybrid and plug-in hybrid models are available as well, and they basically swap the engine above with a 1.6-liter 180-hp turbocharged engine paired with electric motors for a combined 226 hp. Unlike the base engine, those come with a six-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid and plug-in hybrid models are available with all-wheel drive as standard.

When Can We Expect the 2023 Hyundai Tucson?

The release date of the 2023 Hyundai Tucson will probably happen in 2022. Many believe the end of the year is ideal timing for introduction. As mentioned, we expect the new model to arrive with some upgrades, mostly on the front fascia.

Pricing is unconfirmed, but with no significant changes, we expect the Tucson’s pricing to be in $26,135-$38,535 MSRP range. Like in the case with an outgoing model, the new one will rival the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, and Nissan Rogue.
