The spy shots of the upcoming 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee are available, and we can expect its arrival next year. This SUV is one of the most selling Jeep vehicles and is available in two forms if you didn’t know. The base Cherokee model offers two rows of seats and enough room for five passengers, while the three-row L variant provides seven-passenger accommodation. In general, both variants are visually the same, while the L model is a few inches longer.

Like the last generation Grand Cherokee, the new one will come with the same engine options. You can choose either a 3.6-liter V-6 or a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 engine. Interestingly, from the information we got, Jeep will probably also introduce a new plug-in hybrid 4Xe powertrain to keep up with other manufacturers.

Is the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Reliable?

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV comes with a familiar look that is very well recognized and rugged. Jeep says the new SUV has a pretty good off-road ability thanks to 8.6 inches of ground clearance on the standard model or 8.2 for the SRT and 8.1 for the Trackhawk.

The Trackhawk is the model that stands up from the rest ones with quad exhaust tailpipes and a “Supercharged” script placed on front doors. The red tow hook is another exclusive for the Trackhawk model, along with its big 18-inch off-road wheel/tire package.

Cabin Features

On the inside, the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee offers a spacious and modern cabin. Even the entry-level model Laredo is comfortable and well-appointed. As before, the Grand Cherokee has a 2-row/5-seater arrangement, and don’t expect a 3rd-row option. Alongside this model, the manufacturer offers a much bigger L variant with three rows of seats and room for seven passengers. On both models, front seats are supportive, while headroom and legroom on the back are averages for the class. However, there is at least an ample luggage area behind the rear seats.

Base models feature cloth-covered seats, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a 7-inch touchscreen Uconnect infotainment system. Climbing the trim, you’ll get leather upholstery, power lumbar adjustment, and heated/ventilated front seats. Also, upper trims offers as well an 8.4-inch touchscreen Uconnect system with navigation, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto capability.

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee Powertrain Specs

Under the hood, the upcoming 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee will use the same engines as the last generation. This SUV comes with a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Alongside this unit, the manufacturer offers an optional 5.7-liter V8, delivering 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque.

However, if you need more power, you can still choose either the Grand Cherokee SRT with 475 horsepower or Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with 707 horsepower. Many rumors are suggesting that Jeep will also introduce a new plug-in hybrid 4Xe powertrain as well.

Launch Date and Price

The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the famous SUV that is available as a two-row seater or three-row L variant. It is also known as a model with a wide range of engines, impressive off-road credentials, and interior quality.

The sales will reportedly start next year, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee will battle against the Ford Edge, Toyota 4Runner, Nissan Murano, Audi Q5, and Land Rover Discovery. The starting price of the current base model is a little less than $34,000, and we believe the new could remain in the same range.
