The all-new electric three-row 2023 Kia EV9 has been announced, and it should arrive in Europe next year. Apart from confirming production for the European market, Kia hasn’t revealed any information if this SUV be available in the U.S. We can only speculate at the moment, but we think the U.S. version will arrive one year after the Europe release. Anyway, the concept images are available, and the all-electric SUV looks really unique.

We already knew that it would share many components with the other Kia models, and it will use the new e-GMP platform that underpins the many smaller models like the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. Kia has also claimed that the EV9 with a single charge should deliver at least 300 miles of range.

2023 Kia EV9 Exterior Design

On the cosmetic front, the 2023 Kia EV9 looks very boxy. In silhouette, it reminds us of a taffy-stretched version of the compact Kia Soul model, which is the brand’s most recognizable SUV. Interestingly, the concept model comes without a pillar between the front and rear doors.

So, the doors will be open in reverse as we saw on the Lincoln Continental Coach model. Just like the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Kia EV9 will use a stretched version of the e-GMP platform.

First Look Inside

The interior of the 2023 Kia EV9 is bold with boxy lines. Moreover, the EV9’s dimensions are quite similar to the Kia Telluride. Anyway, the EV9 offers 3-row of seats and enough room to fit six passengers. The concept also looks unique inside, and the manufacturer made the cabin of quality materials. It is also worth mentioning that the EV9’s cabin centers on an enormous 27-inch screen, which should be very easy to use.

From concept images, we also see that the first and third-row seats pivot 180 degrees. Also, the second-row folds flat, and you can basically turn it into a dining room or meeting space for four. The third row is the highlight, allowing you a perfect view of the sunset. We also expect a vast number of safety features and driver assists.

Kia hasn’t revealed much information about the mechanics of the 2023 EV9. We know that the new SUV will ride on the same E-GMP platform as the EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5. It’s a skateboard-like unit that will be able to handle many sizes of batteries.

Moreover, Kia claims that EV9 has a range of up to 300 miles, which is pretty excellent. Also, they reveal that it can recharge 80% of its battery in under 30 minutes.

The EV9 from the images looks sleek and a very compact electric SUV. Unfortunately, we don’t know yet how much this model could cost. So, stay with us for more information about this SUV.
