The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is about to arrive with a redesign that will make it more unique. Unlike the original variant, the Sport one looks more attractive thanks to its rakish roof design and size that’s more compact than the regular Range Rover.

As far as we know, the forthcoming model will ride on a new MLA Flex platform, which should handle internal combustion and plug-in hybrid powertrains, with the use of 48-volt electrical architecture. The highlight for 2023YM is definitively a new interior that houses a very large infotainment system.

2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport First Look

While little can be seen at the first glance, the 2023 Range Rover Sport’s exterior seems updated mostly in the front end. The video shows an attractive headlamp design that looks even slimmer than the setup on the outgoing generation model.

It also looks larger, and it will reportedly ride on a new MLA Flex platform. Land Rover recently stated that the new platform would be used on many upcoming models and is designed to support internal combustion and PHEV powertrains.

What’s New Inside?

At the recent presentation, we also saw a new interior of the upcoming 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. Besides more comfortable cabin and better-quality materials, the new SUV will also feature a cleaner dashboard.

As we saw, the manufacturer added a large 13.1-inch infotainment unit wearing metal-look trim on each side. Anyway, all this means we can expect an updated Pivi Pro system that will also be available in the original Range Rover as well. Overall, the cabin is sporty, and we presume as standard soft-closing doors, massaging front seats, a self-parking system, rear-seat entertainment setup, and a 1,700-watt/23-speaker Meridian sound system.

Engine Specs

The 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport rides on a new platform that can handle a vast number of engines. As such, the Range Rover Sport could continue to use an inline-six 3.0-liter petrol, an inline-six 3.0-liter diesel, a PHEV 3.0 liter inline-six petrol, and a 4.4-liter biturbo V8 petrol engine that is a new to the Range Rover Sport.

If you didn’t know, the 4.4-liter biturbo V8 petrol engine is also available in some BMW models. The MLA Flex should also allow 48-volt electrics, and that means more torque and power.
