The flagship 2023 Lexus LX will be reportedly redesigned for 2023. According to the latest news, the manufacturer will make this SUV sportier thanks to an upgraded exterior. However, like the previous generation, the new one will ride on the same modernized platform. If you didn’t know, this model is based on the new Toyota Land Cruiser, which is sadly, not coming to the U.S.

As for the engine, the new Lexus will be powered by a twin-turbocharged engine. The previous generation came with a V8 engine, but thanks to a turbo engine, the new one makes 409 horses. Four-wheel drive remains standard, and the LX is available with a number of off-road goodies. In the same class with the Lexus LX are contemporaries SUVs such as the BMW X7, Land Rover Range Rover, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-class.

2023 Lexus LX Redesign

The 2023 Lexus LX exterior design is refreshed, and this model has the same 112-inch wheelbase as the original LX. For 2023, the most of the changes are visible on the front fascia, including an updated grille with the same trapezoidal design that debuted on the LX 570. The seven stacked chrome bars in the grille are present, though the new F Sport trim will get sportier look thanks to a black mesh design.

The LED headlights are similarly shaped, but as we can see, their designs have been simplified. On the LX 600, around back, we noticed a new narrow bar that connects the taillights and the rear hatch that spells out chrome letters at the center of the “LEXUS”. As for the wheel options, Lexus offers from 18 to 22 inches.

Modern and More Luxurious Interior

Inside, the new 2023 Lexus LX will get a modern and luxurious makeover. Still, this SUV offers the same wide center console that creates a cozy cockpit environment. As Lexus flagship model, the LX comes with quilted leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped dashboard, and smoked-chrome accents. The entry-level trim offers five seats across in two rows, while the Premium, Luxury, and F Sport trims come with a third row of seats, increasing passenger capacity to seven.

The LX’s dashboard also hosts three standard displays. It starts with an 8.0-inch screen for the gauge cluster, a much larger 12.3-incher for the infotainment, and a 7.0-inch screen for climate and vehicle controls. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard, just like the wireless connectivity.

A 10-speed automatic transmission will be standard as well as four-wheel drive. There are also rumors that the hybrid powertrain or gas-electric setup could find its way to the next Lexus LX.
