The forthcoming 2023 Lexus NX will reportedly go through a redesign inside and out. This means we can expect a better cabin with an upgraded infotainment system and an attractive exterior. From the first spy shots, the upcoming SUVs design is boasted thanks to a sharp look, a new fascia with updated headlights, and a spindle grille.
Besides, like the current model, the new one is powered by the same engines. The NX 250 that’s a base model uses a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while the more powerful NX 350h pairs the 2.5-liter engine with an electric motor. The NX 350 is available as well, which adds a 275-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine. For the PHEV lovers, the manufacturer offers the NX 450h+ that consists of a 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor.
2023 Lexus NX Facelift
We must admit that the new 2023 Lexus NX doesn’t look dramatically different from the 2021 model. It features some small changes on the front and rear fascia, but nothing significant. In general, there is no need for a total redesign because this SUV still looks unique. The distinctive-looking small luxury SUV comes with a large front grille and design that has been toned down slightly.
At the rear, we first notice a big L-E-X-U-S script, which can be found in the center of the rear tailgate. Like the headlights of the NX model, the taillights are also updated, and they run across the entire width of the car. We recommended getting an optional F Sport trim. This trim adds sports 21-inch gloss-black wheels, trim-specific front and rear bumpers, black roof rails, and several exterior colors.
Like before, the 2023 Lexus NX looks modern and spacious. First of all, this SUV offers great comfort, and some small updates were made for 2023YM. As you probably know, the previous model came with the clunky and button-heavy center console that has been finally replaced with a larger touchscreen.
Thanks mainly to that, the new Lexus NX looks and feels more spacious and modern. Inside, you’ll find either a 9.8-inch or 14-inch touchscreen. Additionally, the new system also offers many commands via voice using the “Hey, Lexus” prompt.
2023 Lexus NX Engine Options
Under the hood, the 2023 Lexus NX 250 uses the same 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, producing 203-horsepower. A more powerful NX 350h comes optionally, and it pairs the 2.5-liter engine with an electric motor creating a total of 239 horsepower.
The NX 350 is the next one, and it is powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine making 275-hp. Finally, you can get the NX 450h+ that consists of a 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor delivering 302 hp and a 36-mile EV range.
How Much Will the Lexus NX 2023 Cost?
At this point, there is no official on-sale date for the 2023 Lexus NX. However, many reports indicate that we can expect it at the end of this year. Pricing is also not yet available, but with no significant changes, though, we expect only mild price increases.
The current model’s MSRP ranges from $38,975 to $57,925 (destination fees included). As we mentioned, the segment where the Lexus NX is crowded with models, and the closest competitors are the Cadillac XT4, INFINITI QX50, and Acura RDX.
