The all-new 2023 Lexus TX three-row SUV has been officially confirmed for the next year. Right now, Lexus has in its fleet two 3-rows models, and the TX will be the third one.
Unfortunately, we don’t know exactly what this model will look like, but according to some renderings, it will be a step up compared to other Lexus models. Expect some sort of hybrid powertrain, though it’s unclear yet if Lexus offers a plug-in affair or a more conventional setup. We believe that TX will use the same three hybrid choices, just like the upcoming RX models.
2023 Lexus TX Design
On the cosmetic front, the forthcoming 2023 Lexus TX is expected to be more unique than any of the previous Lexus models. As far as we can tell looking at the first renderings, the forthcoming model looks really futuristic. It features an attractive grill with a modern pattern, just as we saw on some electric models. Also, Lexus added slim LED headlights and a very sporty hood. The side profile is also visible, featuring very stylish wheels.
Considering that there is no available image on the inside of Lexus TX, we don’t have an idea of what this model will look like. What we know is that the upcoming SUV will be more luxurious than the RX and UX models. It will ride on a completely new platform that should translate more comfort inside. In general, there is no mistake with Lexus, considering its reputation of making very quality interiors.
Anyway, we also heard that it would come standard with a semi-automated driving system, which would allow for hands-free driving in certain conditions. This means we can for sure expect even a remote parking system allowing the driver to park and unpark from outside the vehicle using a smartphone.
2023 Lexus TX Hybrid Options
Just like the upcoming RX models, the new 2023 Lexus TX could use the same systems. According to many reports, the hybrid powertrains in the RX lineup will come in three flavors. There should be a range-topper that will replace the current RX450h.
This model could use a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine paired with an electric motor. Also, the next one could be a 2.5-liter power plant also paired with an electric motor. Both versions should also use a lithium-ion battery.
2023 Lexus TX Price, Release Date
At this moment, the manufacturer didn’t reveal any information regarding the price and release date of the 2023 Lexus TX. Some of the reports say it will arrive later this year as 2023YM, while on the other hand, many believe that it will debut next year as 2024YM.
Anyway, the Lexus RX is also expected to be revealed this year using the new TNGA platform, with reports pointing towards the second half of the year. Pricing is not yet available, but don’t expect an affordable model at all. In the same luxurious 3-row segment there are rivals like the Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7.
