The 2023 Mazda CX-60 is the brand’s first Plug-In Hybrid that should debut this year. According to many reports, Mazda has officially begun mass production of the new mid-sized SUV CX-60 at its Hofu Plant No. 2 in Yamaguchi, Japan. As far as we know, this SUV will first hit the shores in Australia but is expected to debut soon after in other markets as well.

Unlike the smaller CX-5 model, the new CX-60 is based on the Skyactiv Multi-Solution Scalable Architecture, which will also underpin some of the upcoming models. The PHEV version will be combining a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor covering 63 kilometers (39 miles) in purely electric mode.

2023 Mazda CX-60 Design

The all-new 2023 Mazda CX-60 looks modern thanks to refreshed Mazda Kodo design language. In general, this SUV represents everything that Mazda has built over the last 100 years. A Japanese company this year has been focused on creating a fantastic SUV that is very eye-catchy.

The CX-60 dominates at the front, and is much wider than the CX-5 model. It features LED daytime running lights stretching into the grille and very attractive headlights. The rear of this SUV is also a head-turner thanks to taillights that extend onto the tailgate.

Modern and Roomy Interior

Inside, the 2023 Mazda CX-60 looks more stylish than the CX-5 model. The interior is quite posh, and it reminds us a bit of a Volvo. However, as the CX-70, the new CX-60 offers the same seating layout. There is enough room for five occupants inside.

Mazda used a new system, which can be controlled either by using the 12.3-inch touchscreen or the rotary knob. The digital instrument cluster is available as well and has the same diagonal as the main display. Overall, if you’re looking for a roomy and tech-rich SUV, then the CX-60 is worth considering. The Mazda CX-60 is a very safe SUV that offers a wide range of technologies. The highlight is definitively the new 360-view monitor that enables an all-around view.
