The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS is an all-electric SUV that will share a platform and myriad other components with the EQS sedan version. However, unlike other Mercedes SUVs, the new EQS features better-quality materials, and it feels airier thanks to a great arrangement inside and third row that can fit up to seven occupants.

It’s also the first one that will be available with Mercedes’ new 56-inch Hyperscreen, dazzled by the massive glass panel that stretches across the dashboard. As far as we know, the lineup of EQS starts with a rear-drive EQS480+, which is able to produce 355-hp, while the second option is an all-wheel-drive EQS580 that produces 536-hp. Moreover, both mentioned models are expected to provide at least 300 miles of estimated range.

At first glance, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS looks like a really futuristic SUV. Similar in size as the Mercedes GLS, the EQS is a few inches shorter, about 4 inches lower, nearly 3 inches narrower. However, thanks to that, it features greater sleekness both visibly and under the body.

The grille is also attractive, and it houses cameras, ultrasound sensors, and radar equipment. The rear of the new EQS SUV is simple and clean, while a side profile reveals stylish (20-inch or 21-inch).

Futuristic and Comfy Interior

Inside, the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS is one of the most luxurious SUV on the market. Of course, depending on model, the design and materials will vary. For example, if you decide for the EQS 450+ model, you will get a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 12.8-inch infotainment touchscreen. However, choosing the more equipped and expensive EQS 580 model, expect more quality materials and impressive MBUX Hyperscreen, which is optional in the 450+ variant.

Also, as standard the Mercedes-Benz EQS includes many features. It comes with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, wireless charging, six USB-C ports, natural voice recognition, navigation, and a 15-speaker Burmester surround-sound system. A full set of driver assistance features is available as well. With the base model you will get forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with active braking inputs, self-parking, 360-degree camera system, and adaptive cruise control.
