We expect the 2023 Nissan Armada to arrive something next year with refreshed styling. This popular SUV will continue to be rugged, truck-based, and ideal for the entire family in Infiniti-like comfort. If you didn’t know, the Nissan Armada went through an update last year, so the upcoming model will probably be the same. Of course, some small outside and inside refreshments are expected.

Like the previous model, the new Nissan Armada continues to be available with a familiar 5.6-liter V8 unit. This direct-injected aluminum-block engine can produce 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque using a smooth 7-speed automatic transmission.

2023 Nissan Armada Facelift

Because of its body-on-frame construction, the new 2023 Nissan Armada has an impressive skillset. This model is one of the most recognized SUVs in the class, thanks to its rugged construction. The Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia are also built on a similar body-on-frame, but none of them can deliver an off-road ride like the Nissan Armada. This model is one of the giant SUVs that offer attractive grille, fenders, LED headlights, and a hood that looks more distinctive.

The entry-level Armada will ride on 18-inch alloy wheels, but larger 20-inch versions are available on SL and the 22-inch wheels on the Platinum. A new Midnight Edition package is the best choice if you are looking for more sporty styling with many black accents.

Cabin Features

On the inside, the 2023 Nissan Armada looks, at the same time, traditional and modern. Behind the third row, there is 16.5 cubic feet of cargo area that can be expanded to a maximum of 95.4 cubic feet when both the second and third rows are folded.

Inside the cabin, the manufacturer added more quality materials and plenty of techs. Thanks to that, the Armada is almost in the same league as its luxury Infiniti counterpart. The improvements on the 2023 model include the new 12.3-inch touchscreen, 6-speaker Bose audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and navigation.

2023 Nissan Armada Powertrain Specs

The 2023 Nissan Armada is an SUV that is available with a familiar engine. This model uses a direct-injected aluminum-block 5.6-liter V8 engine that sends 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. The engine sends power to a Rear-wheel drive (RWD) via a 7-speed automatic transmission. 4-wheel-drive (4WD) is also available but only as optional. Although the 5.6-liter V8 is one of the most powerful base engines in the segment, it has some cons.

This unit is very fuel-hungry. Last year’s 4WD model was rated according to EPA at 13 mpg city/18 mpg highway. However, we should expect alongside this engine, at least one more that will be more fuel-friendly. Many believe that Nissan will introduce some mild-hybrid setup.

Release Date and Price

The new 2023 Nissan Armada’s release will likely happen in the second half of the following year. As mentioned, the Nissan Armada went through an update last year, and we don’t expect many changes on the new one. As for the price, we think the Nissan Armada will remain in the same range. The current model starts at $48,500 for a rear-wheel-drive version.

The most expensive is the Platinum 4X4 that costs $67,900. The competition is tough in class, and the Armada rivals are the Chevrolet Tahoe and the Ford Expedition.
