The forthcoming 2023 Tesla Model Y is an electric-powered crossover SUV that will arrive later in the year. Based on news, the latest model will look refreshed, but it could offer less driving range than the outgoing model. As far as we know, the new Tesla Y range will drop by 4 miles, from a max of 318 downward to 314 miles.

Besides, this SUV is also known for its futuristic cabin that offers seating for 5-7 people. Tesla recently added a 3rd row of seating though it can only be got with the Long-Range model. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming SUV.

2023 Tesla Model Y Facelift

Like the Tesla Model 3, the styling of the upcoming 2023 Tesla Model Y is very similar. As far as we can see, the body of this SUV is adorned with sleek body lines, stylish wheel designs, and a sloping roofline. Depending on a chosen trim, design of this model will slightly vary.

For example, the Performance model comes with a sportier look thanks to a lowered suspension, 21-inch wheels, and a carbon fiber rear spoiler. Nevertheless, the size of the Tesla Model Y will be the same, and is much bigger than the compact crossovers such as the Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4.

Cabin Features

The interior of the 2023 Tesla Model Y will not differ too much from the current model. This SUV still has a sleek design, and it uses the same premium vegan simulated leather materials. The seats are very supportive and comfortable enough to fit seven passengers. Like the model before, the cabin is quiet thanks to the electric powertrain. As we already said, you can get a third row of seats choosing the Long-Range model, but seats behind are awfully tight. The maximum rear cargo capacity with the back seats folded is 68 cubic feet.

On the technology side, the dashboard of this model features a 15-inch infotainment system and the latest firmware. Unfortunately, at this moment, there are no words about the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
