The 2023 Volvo XC90 will reportedly arrive next year featuring upgraded headlights and some mild changes. From information that is available, the forthcoming SUV is expected to be a carryover, so all those great assets that this model has will remain the same.

As you probably know, the current version of the XC90 has been around for seven years, and it is still a very competitive model in the segment. For 2023YM, the manufacturer will make some upgrades mostly inside, so we can expect a high-end cabin with an undeniably Scandinavian feel. The engine options remain, and the base model still uses a turbocharged inline-4 engine that produces 250 horsepower. The Recharge plug-in hybrid model is the pinnacle on the offer thanks to a electric motor that gives a total of 400 horsepower.

2023 Volvo XC90 Redesign

The Scandinavian 2023 Volvo XC90 has lovely body lines and a very handsome front end. This SUV is mostly recognized thanks to its unique front grille with the diagonal bar and attractive Thor’s hummer headlights that now come with better graphics. The look of this model can change a bit depending on the trim labels.

For example, if you go for the R-Design trim, the design will be sportier, while the Inscription trim looks more luxurious. The size of the Volvo XC90 remains unchanged, and this SUV is a little bigger than the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class. However, it is still a little smaller than the Lincoln Aviator and Audi Q7.

What’s New Inside?

The 2023 Volvo XC90 is one of the most attractive models inside. Basically, it has one of the nicest interiors in its competitive class. Like the model before, the new SUV comes with high-quality materials, and it offers modern styling even on the lower trims. The base Momentum model is well-equipped, and it comes with a leatherette seat.

Among the many standard interior features, you will also get a 4-zone automatic climate control, a memory driver’s seat, navigation, wireless charging, and much more. However, if you choose to go for the R-Design trim, you will get Nappa leather upholstery, massaging function to the front seats, premium audio systems, a head-up display, and so on.

Choosing the T6 model, you will get a 2.0-liter turbocharged/supercharged inline-4 with 316 horses.

On the pricing side, we generally don’t expect any changes at all. So, the 2023 Volvo XC90 will start at $49,900 for the T5 Momentum, while the T6 powertrain is $57,000. The plug-in hybrid Recharge is the most efficient version that costs $63,500 for Inscription Expression.
