Interesting news, a preorder of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq just started, considering that the 2023-year model sold out in the blink of an eye. According to Cadillac, customers of the Lyriq can place a preorder with a refundable $100 deposit. From the information that we got, orders are about to begin later this year, while deliveries should start in the spring of 2023.

For those who missed it, the new Cadillac Lyriq is an all-electric midsize SUV/crossover, which is built on the same platform as the GMC Hummer EV. It is also worth noting that this SUV can be chosen with either one magnet electric motor or with dual permanent magnet electric motors.

2024 Cadillac Lyriq Exterior

The exterior look of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq is futuristic and eye-catchy. Nevertheless, it dominates on the front end thanks to the big Black Crystal Shield grille and cutting-edge lines. There are also a shaped headlight and flap covering the charge socket.

Interestingly, the socket is located just behind the drivers-side front wheel and it opens by pressing the Cadillac crest. Just like headlights, the vertical taillamps are using the same LED technology. As far as we know, there should be only two premium paint colors including Satin Steel Metallic and Stellar Black Metallic.

First Look Inside

Cadillac for the new Lyriq used a dedicated EV architecture, which allows plenty of space for four passengers. Compared to Escalade’s full-size SUV, the Lyriq features a slightly longer wheelbase, translating to more legroom in both rows. Rear passengers can reportedly enjoy a generous 39.6 inches of stretching-out space. The cargo space behind the rear seat runs to 28 cubic feet or 60.8 cubic feet with the seats down.

Up front, there is a huge 33-inch touchscreen set horizontally, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, wireless charging, Wi-Fi, satellite radio, over-the-air updates, and 19 AKG speakers.
