The all-new 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV is expected to go on sale next year, sharing a little in common with the non-EV model. Unfortunately, Chevy hasn’t yet released many details about the new SUV, but we expect it to come with two electric motors. Anyway, rumors indicate at least a driving range of 300 miles per charge, and all-wheel drive as standard.
A few details have been shared, and the new Chevrolet Equinox EV will come with a very comfortable cabin. It will also host an identical digital dashboard that we saw recently in the Silverado EV. It’s also noteworthy that this model will use a Ultium GM platform, which is also seen with models such as the GMC Hummer EV, the Cadillac Lyriq, and the Chevy Silverado EV trucks.
2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Design
The upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV at first glance looks attractive, and its unique design is something you’d see in a futuristic Sci-Fi movie. Compared to gas-powered model, it seems that the EV variant is very different. From what we’ve seen, the Chevrolet Equinox EV comes with remarkable design featuring narrow headlights and a sleek hood.
The front fascia, on the other hand, looks more eye-catchy because the manufacturer completely drops a current grille, replacing it with closed-off front end. To add more sporty styling, Chevrolet added a more stylish wheel and some elegant lines that extend through the body.
In-Car Technology and Connectivity
The interior of the latest 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV features a simple design. More specifically, the manufacturer will keep almost the same quality as we saw on the non-EV model. Likewise, it will borrow the same large infotainment from the regular LT trim and red accents from the sporty equinox.
Judging from the photos, we can see a digital dashboard similar to that of the recently revealed Silverado EV. Anyway, the rest of the cabin looks unchanged compared to regular version. Overall, the Chevrolet Equinox EV is an SUV that’s definitely worth waiting for.
2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Motor Specs
Thanks to a new Ultium GM platform which opens possibilities for a higher range, the Chevrolet Equinox EV is expected to provide at least 300 miles. The new electric SUV will probably be powered by a dual-electric setup that should result in all-wheel drive as standard.
Unfortunately, as we said, Chevrolet has not shared more details about the powertrain, battery capacity, acceleration, speed, and more. So, those details will probably come to light in coming months.
2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV Price, Release Date
Chevrolet has just added its Equinox EV to their list of electric vehicles on their website. The starting price of the new SUV is $30,000. We generally expect prices to be hefty depending on trim level. According to Chevrolet, the new Equinox EV will be launched at the end of 2023 as a 2024 model.
While we know the starting price for the Equinox, there are still no information regarding its powertrain, battery capacity, acceleration, and speed. It’s also important to note that the Blazer will be also electrified next year.
