Both the new Ford Ranger ute and the four-wheel-drive version of the 2024 Ford Everest are now in the development stage, so we may anticipate significant modifications. According to the most recent information, the most exciting feature is the plug-in hybrid technology. Both of these models are now in the process of being brought to the market in Australia.
The information is confirmed by Ian Foston, the platform’s chief engineer for the Ford Ranger, Everest, and Volkswagen Amarok. He told Australian media that there are two major forces driving electrification (including hybrid technology) worldwide.
2024 Ford Everest Exterior
The 2024 Ford Everest combines the rugged new F-150-inspired front-end design of the Ranger with C-shaped LED signatures in the headlights, as shown in the first spy photos. The 2024 Everest will likely have a smoother front end than the current Ranger, which itself takes design inspiration from the F-150’s enormous C-shaped headlamps. The front bumper is entirely redesigned and seems to be more durable.
Undoubtedly, the Everest will also use certain Expedition SUV components, like the underbody plate. The next-generation Everest will be able to compete with more recent rivals like the Isuzu MU-X thanks to new, bigger Goodyear Wrangler tires. The enormous side steps, blacked-out grille, and blacked-out mirrors all contribute to the vehicle’s threatening image, which starts with the wheels. Additionally, the middle of the grille has LED daytime running lights.
The 2024 Ford Everest’s all-new cabin, however, is the highlight. The lowest trim level is shown in the spy photos as having a tiny central infotainment screen surrounded by hard controls, while higher-spec models will have a much bigger color touchscreen interface with SYNC4.
The main changes are located on the center console, where a new rotary gearshift selection dial replaces the vintage shifter featured on current Ranger and Everest models. Below that is a recognizable temperature control unit. Overall, besides the new interior, the manufacturer will probably introduce better safety measures. So, expect a long list of features.
2024 Ford Everest Engine Options
As per the news, the upcoming 2024 Ford Everest will provide a broad range of various engine combinations. There is a four-cylinder engine with a 2.0-liter size up front. The identical 2.0-liter engine is also available in the Everest SUV, although this one has two dual turbochargers instead.
The vehicle’s high-performance 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel engine comes standard with a 10-speed automated transmission. As a last option, a plug-in hybrid powertrain will also be offered. It is obvious that the Ranger truck’s engine lineup was used to power the Everest car. Two different cars will share the platform, and the next Ford Bronco SUV will have a similar mechanical setup.
2024 Ford Everest Price and Release Date
The plug-in hybrid versions of the new Ford Ranger and Ford Everest are scheduled to go on sale in Australia during the next year.
In general, we expect both models to be introduced at some upcoming events. Unfortunately, the prices of both models are not available at the moment but expect more information soon.
