It seems like it’s been yesterday when Hyundai launched the Palisade, which amazed the automotive world with its fantastic mix of luxury and affordability. However, that model has already been around for a while. So long that the mid-cycle refresh happened with the 2023 model year. That refresh brought a long of interesting novelties, so we are pretty sure that the 2024 Hyundai Palisade will be a typical carryover model. Not only that it will arrive just a year later but it could also represent one of the final production years of the current generations. For that reason, only minor updates are possible.
All this means that we are most likely about to see a familiar design. Simply, the SUV is still more than competitive in this demanding segment. The Palisade is spacious and comfortable, with very fine materials and a pretty luxurious overall feel. Furthermore, it’s capable and comfortable, so good in most aspects that it’s almost impossible to complain about anything once you realize the asking price.
As there are no significant changes to come, we presume it will hit the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Design
As mentioned, the 2024 Hyundai Palisade is coming only after a year after a facelift. That mid-cycle refresh brought a good portion of novelties, starting from the new styling, which utilizes a completely new, bolder and more attractive face. With that said, we are pretty sure that the next year’s model will continue with the same styling. Still, e won’t exclude the possibility to see minor updates. For example, we could see new color options on offer. Moreover, even a new appearance package doesn’t sound unlikely.
On the other hand, the mechanical aspect won’t change. The Palisade is a well-calibrated SUV that offers a balanced ride. We like its ability to absorb road imperfections in such a nice way, while the overall comfort is at very high. On the other hand, handling and overall driving manners aren’t as engaging as in some other rivals. If you’re looking for more athleticism, better check competitors like Mazda CX-9 or VW Atlas.
This has always been one of the strongest points of the SUV, and the 2024 Hyundai Palisade won’t be any different. It features a very elegant cabin, with a clean dashboard design and very nice materials. You can easily notice that the attention to detail is at a pretty high level, while the generous offer of tech and convenience features also contributes to the overall luxury feel.
Besides solid build quality and luxury touches, this cabin has another very strong point. That would be the generous amount of space. Three rows of seats are part of the standard equipment. The first two are as generous as the can be, while the third row is typically tight for the class. As for the cargo area, you may count on typical ratings for the class. In numbers, that would be around 18 cubic feet of room behind the third row, 45.8 cubic feet behind the second row and a maximum of 86.4 cubic feet.
As a typical carryover model, the next year’s Palisade shouldn’t bring many novelties in this aspect. Instead, we expect to see a very similar offer to the current model. That means that the most basic trim levels would come with a 12.3-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, satellite radio, HD Radio, Bluetooth and five USB ports. The list of standard equipment should also include goodies like keyless entry, remote start and a few more convenience features.
Of course, higher trim levels will bring more tech goodies. We would see goodies a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, wireless device charging, an in-car intercom, a 115-volt household-style power outlet and additional USB ports. Things like a power sunroof, a dual-panel power sunroof, interior ambient LED lighting, the Hyundai Digital Key and dual-zone automatic climate control should also be offered as options.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Engines
If there’s anything to complain about the Palisade, that would be the lack of powertrain alternatives. The next year’s 2024 Hyundai Palisade will continue in the same way, offering the well-known 3.8-liter V6, which is good for 291 horsepower. The engine sends power to the front or all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain seems quite refined while driving dynamics are also very good.
Besides good performance, this engine also provides decent fuel economy. In numbers, that would be up to 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway, which is about average for the segment.
2024 Hyundai Palisade Release Date and Price
The lack of updates also indicates no early arrivals. Instead, we expect to see the new model sometime in the last quarter of the year. The current model starts at around 36.000 dollars and we don’t expect a bigger increase for the next year.
