Kia has been having a lot of success recently, and it doesn’t appear that they have any plans to slow down in the near future. The South Korean car manufacturer has just revealed some “spy images” of its upcoming fully electric SUV, which they named the 2024 Kia EV9.

We are aware that the manufacturing of the EV is scheduled to begin sometime in the middle of the year, but this is the first time that we have had a decent look at what the production model could potentially look like. When we refer to “spy photographs,” what we really mean is that the company’s PR arm has provided some photos of the EV9 dressed in camouflage. Everything that we know about the 2024 Kia EV9 can be read below.

Images of prototype cars covered in camouflage often don’t reveal much, but the spied 2024 Kia EV9 tells a different tale. The EV9 concept, which made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2021, is clearly comparable to the images of the impending production version.

The prototype features a slab-sided form, a boxy appearance, and a headlamp clusters similar to its sibling EV6. Anyway, the Kia EV9 looks larger in terms of size compared to the EV6 model.

Modern and Roomy Interior

If we can rely on the concept model, the forthcoming 2024 Kia EV9 will offer a very spacious and modern interior. It has the boldness of an SUV and the trustworthiness of an electric car because it has a third row of seats.

Also, the new SUV has a interior made from sustainable materials. On top of that, the KV9 comes with an organically integrated pop-up steering wheel and a 27-inch ultra-wide display with an experience that pushes the boundaries of innovation.

2024 Kia EV9 Motor Specs

Kia claims that the 2024 EV9 is going to set a new norm in its range. According to the EPA, the Kia EV6’s maximum range will be 310 miles, but in some early testing, we’ve seen as much as 326 miles. We may assume that at least one variation of the ultimate production vehicle will have a total range that is greater than 350 miles.

Due to the EV9’s larger size, this SUV can handle larger batteries. The EV6’s battery has a 77.6 kWh capacity, but we believe that the EV9 will have a battery with a capacity that is closer to 100 kWh.

Price, Release Date

While price is usually a mystery until the company releases an official figure, one glance at the EV6 gives us a fair sense of what to anticipate. The fully outfitted GT-Line all-wheel-drive EV6 now starts at $57,695, so we believe the 2024 Kia EV9 will start around $55,000.

However, a more costly variant will be around $75,000 or so. That may seem like a lot of money, but when you realize the Tesla Model X costs $122,440 for something equivalent in size to the EV9, the Kia seems to be a great value.
