Ford continues to execute its electrification plan, from which Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator electric variants have already been confirmed. According to reports, the new 2024 Lincoln Aviator EV will arrive next year, and it will not be produced at the Ford Cuautitlan Assembly Plant in Mexico as originally planned, but rather, at an as-of-now undisclosed location.
We don’t have any official information regarding the motor specs of the electric model, but we’re expecting it to use at least two electric motors, providing way better output than the current twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. The manufacturer is also offering a more powerful optional PHEV, which uses the same V6, paired with an electric motor powered by a lithium-ion battery.
2024 Lincoln Aviator EV Design
The brand’s first all-electric SUV, the 2024 Lincoln Aviator EV, will look way more attractive than the regular model. First of all, the upcoming SUV will keep the same body lines as the regular one, with some upgrades here and there.
Judging by a new rendering, the front fascia will be changed a bit, featuring a larger grille with chrome-finished elements. The manufacturer reshaped the headlights and added plenty of black elements. On top of that, very stylish wheels are installed, making the overall look attractive.
The upcoming 2024 Lincoln Aviator EV is expected to come with a modern cabin. Anyway, we don’t know yet if this model will offer three or two-row seats. From some unofficial reports, the forthcoming SUV will share many elements inside with the Lincoln Zephyr model. So, this means it will come with the huge infotainment display and probably with the same digital gauge cluster.
Other features that should also be there as standard are Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, satellite radio, Wi-Fi, USB-A and USB-C ports (front and rear), Bluetooth, and at least a 10-speaker audio setup. Just like the original Aviator, the electric version will include many driver aids. It will probably come with forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams.
2024 Lincoln Aviator EV Rumors
Unfortunately, we don’t have any official specs regarding the forthcoming 2024 Lincoln Aviator EV model. We’re expecting it to come with two electric motors, resulting in all-wheel drive as standard. Also, many reports are suggesting that it could provide more output than the current PHEV.
The current Lincoln Aviator comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that develops 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. As an option, you can get PHEV with a 3.0-liter V6 engine, an electric motor, and a lithium-ion battery. Thanks to that, the PHEV produces 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque.
2024 Lincoln Aviator EV Price, Release Date
The 2024 Lincoln Aviator is not a cheap SUV at all. This model starts at $52,000, plus a destination charge. However, if you go for the Grand Touring plug-in hybrid, you must be prepared to pay a little less than $69,000, while the Label Grand Touring is around $89,000.
