The Range Rover Sport has just been redesigned for the 2023 model year and it brings a full load of novelties. Although the styling changes seem evolutionary, there is a lot under the skin that’s new. Furthermore, there is a whole new range of powertrain options, which could be enhanced even more with the 2024 Range Rover Sport. This will be the second production year of the new generation but that doesn’t mean it won’t come without novelties.
If we can trust unofficial reports, the next year’s model will bring an all-electric version of this super-capable SUV. The company announces that the EV is in the works a while ago, but the officials are still quiet on whether the EV will be ready for the next year or not. Therefore, make sure to take the following paragraphs with a reserve.
With updates or without, we expect that the 2024 Range Rover Sport will arrive sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2024 Range Rover Sport Might Get an All-Electric Version
As we’ve just mentioned, the company announced a while ago that the all-electric version is in the works and that it will arrive sometime in the future. While the exact date is yet to be specified, so sources suggest that such a version could happen already with the 2024 Range Rover Sport. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details regarding power, battery, range and other important aspects of such a setup.
On the other hand, the rest of the lineup is about to carry on in the same way. Therefore, base models will continue with a 3.0-liter turbo inline-six, which gets help from a 48-volt mild-hybrid setup and comes in two output variants. The base version of the engine puts out around 355 horsepower, while a more capable 395-hp variant is available. The same engine is also available with a capable electric motor and a large 31.8-kWh battery pack. That model features a plug-in hybrid setup, with a combined output of 434 horsepower. Also, such a large battery provides quite a respectable EV range of around 48 miles.
Finally, the is a high-performance version that comes with BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which puts out around 523 horsepower.
All versions come coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
2024 Range Rover Sport Design
Design-wise, the 2024 Range Rover Sport will continue in the same way, with all the changes that came with the last year’s redesign. The new model now rides on the new MLA Flex architecture, the same one that underpins the new generation of the flagship Ranger Rover. The improvements are notable in many aspects, starting from the ride quality, which has become more engaging, without sacrificing comfort and smoothness.
Of course, the aesthetic part of the vehicle will also remain the same, with all the styling changes that were made last year. The new model has brought evolutionary design changes compared to the previous generation. It takes the same path as the new Range Rover, offering an even sleeker design than before, combining elegant lines with some pretty futuristic details. Of course, the EV would bring a couple of exclusive details for sure, particularly at the front, to accentuate its all-electric nature.

Once again, we don’t expect to see more important updates. The 2024 Range Rover Sport will carry on in the same way, featuring a super elegant cabin design that was introduced last year. The new cabin features a minimalistic design approach, with a lot of clean lines and a very stylish center stack and center console, which feature a kind of floating design, in a combination with a massive, tablet-like infotainment screen. The instrument cluster is completely digital and we presume it would feature a slightly different design in the EV version.
On the other hand, the seating configuration will remain the same. Standard models will continue with two spacious rows of seats, which both accommodate adults with ease. The front seats are massive and supportive, while the driving position is excellent. The second row is also generous and fits three adults easily.
The Ranger Rover Sport is also available with the optional third row, which isn’t particularly spacious but can be functional in some situations. The front seats feature 22-way power adjustability, while the list of standard equipment also includes a massive 13.1-inch curved touchscreen and an even larger 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster. All models come standard with tech features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, as well as wireless charging.
2024 Range Rover Sport Release Date and Price
While the all-electric 2024 Range Rover Sport is still under question, standard models will arrive at a typical time of the year, sometime in the last quarter. We don’t expect bigger price changes, so base versions should go around 84.500 dollars. Key competitors are models like BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE etc.
