The facelifted 2024 Toyota Sequoia is expected to share many styling features with the new Tundra pickup truck. As far as we know, the new full-size 3-row SUV will go on sale next year, probably in the fall. Like the outgoing generation, the forthcoming Sequoia remains to be the most luxurious SUV in Toyota’s portfolio.
Considering many premium elements, this SUV is almost overlapping into Lexus territory. So, if you’re seeking an SUV that offers a spacious cabin, impressive towing ability, and a hybrid drivetrain, then this model is worth considering. Without further ado, let’s see what kind of changes are incoming with the new Sequoia model.
2024 Toyota Sequoia Facelift
As we mentioned, the new 2024 Toyota Sequoia will share many design cues with the latest Tundra pickup. Both models come with a fresh design approach, which gives this SUV an agreeably assertive character thanks to its unique grille and headlights. The size remains unchanged, and the Sequoia is proportionally in line with the Ford Expedition.
Wheel sizes range from 18 inches to 22 inches depending on the chosen trim level. The Capstone’s wheels are the most stylish because they have a chrome finish. Unlike before, the manufacturer this time added some Premium colors including Supersonic Red, Solar Octane TRD model, and deep orange.
The interior of the 2024 Toyota Sequoia is lavish and luxurious. Interestingly, this three-row SUV has never had an issue in terms of space. Even the third row is adult-friendly and very comfortable. Unlike before, Toyota now offers an optional sliding third row, which maximizes legroom and cargo space.
Capstone is the newest and favorite trim thanks to unique American Walnut wood trim, perforated semi-aniline leather upholstery, a large 14-inch infotainment touchscreen, and acoustic glass. You can count on wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, as well as supporting Apple Music, and Amazon Music streaming as standard. We also expect a full set of driver assistance features, which should include blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control.
2024 Toyota Sequoia Engine
Under the hood, the forthcoming 2023 Toyota Sequoia is only available with a hybrid drivetrain across the range. This engine consists of a gasoline twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 and an electric motor generator that sits in between. Thanks to that, it produces a combined output of 437 horsepower and 538 lb-ft of torque.
Compared to the model before, this is an improvement over 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft. The basic arrangement is a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (RWD), while 4-wheel drive (4WD) with a high/low transfer case is optional.
How Much is the New 2024 Toyota Sequoia?
Despite small improvements, the new 2024 Toyota Sequoia will cost slightly more compared to the outgoing model. The current Toyota Sequoia starts at $58,300, while the new one is expected to be a little less than $60k.
A midrange 4×4 Limited is around $68,000, while the most popular Capstone model begins at $79k.With less money (around $50K), you can get models in the same class like Ford Expedition, Chevrolet Tahoe, and Nissan Armada. We’re expecting the new Sequoia to go on sale next year, most likely in the fall.
